Course Overview
You will spend the first part of the day getting to know participants and discussing what will take place during the workshop. Students will also have an opportunity to identify their personal learning objectives.
Understanding Neurodiversity
In this session, participants will explore the topic of neurodiversity. They will learn key definitions as well as examine the benefits of embracing neurodiversity in the workplace.
Myth and Misconceptions
Next, myths and misconceptions about neurodivergence will be debunked.
Sensory and Communication Differences
Then, participants will examine the different ways neurodivergent people process sensory information. They will also learn about communication styles and preferences.
Adapting Workplace Practices
In this session, participants will learn how to build inclusive recruitment and onboarding processes. They will also look at strategies for creating a supportive workplace for all employees.
Building a Supportive Culture
Next, participants will focus on fostering empathy and compassion within an organization.
Leading by Example
Then, participants will explore the role of leadership in supporting neurodiversity in the workplace. They will also learn techniques for providing clear, constructive guidance that empowers neurodivergent employees to thrive in their roles.
Driving Innovation
In this session, participants will explore how neurodiversity contributes to innovation.
Creating Neurodiverse Teams
Next, participants will examine case studies of successful neurodiversity initiatives. They will also learn some best practices for assembling and managing neurodiverse teams.
Developing Career Pathways
Then, participants will look at how to best support neurodivergent talent in reaching their potential.
Action Planning
In this session, participants will develop actionable plans for fostering a neuroinclusive workplace.
Workshop Wrap-Up
At the end of the course, students will have an opportunity to ask questions and fill out an action plan.
